Chapter 242: Lein's Soul
The supreme ruler's soul, capable of attacking, defending, and carrying out any desire of the soul's owner as if it were his own body.
"My soul?"
Lein approached his soul manifestation and examined it closely. "Wow… so handsome," he praised shamelessly. He observed every part of the soul's body, which really did look exactly like him.
He tried controlling the soul, and it moved as he wished—lifting a hand, walking, jumping, even using a skill.
"Great, I have a new clone," Lein said to himself. Shortly afterward, the system sent a promotion notification.
[The ruler has successfully promoted to tier-master]
[Acquired skills: (Soul Sense), (Soul Annihilation), (Astral Soul Manipulation), (Celestial Soul Rend), (Heavenly Blade Mirror), (Soul Constellation Dance)]
[Became the first human of the Blue Planet to reach Tier-Master. Earned title: (The Sacred Pillar of the Universe)]
Lein looked at the system notifications with a mixture of disbelief and awe. The last two notifications made him incredibly happy, especially about the skills he had gained.
But before he checked his status, he noticed that the cosmic phenomenon from earlier had disappeared, returning everything to normal. Far away, the guards had regained their strength and could now stand again. They looked at Lein with even more reverence than before.
"Alright, let's see what skills I've acquired," Lein said, opening the descriptions of his new skills.
skill 7: (Soul Sense - passive) Detects the presence, aura, emotions, and soul power of living creatures within a radius of 100 km. Cooldown: None.
The first thing he noticed was the skill labeled passive. "Awesome, I can sense soul energy now!" Lein exclaimed joyfully.
skill 8: (Soul Annihilation) Uses void energy to absorb the souls of enemies by 50% within a 10 km radius, weakening them and temporarily boosting the user's power by the amount of soul energy absorbed. Cooldown: 1 hours.
skill 9: (Astral Soul Manipulation) Controls the soul to manipulate memory or suggestion within enemies for 10 minutes within a 10 km radius. Cooldown: 1.5 hours.
The next two skills were abilities that utilized soul energy for offense: Soul Annihilation and Astral Soul Manipulation.
"The Soul Annihilation skill is great for attacking enemies across a large area," Lein muttered, imagining himself absorbing the power of enemies within that range.
Meanwhile, Astral Soul Manipulation was very effective for attacking and obtaining personal information. This skill would be perfect for investigations.
skill 10: (Celestial Soul Rend) A sword strike that releases a holy cosmic wave, shattering the souls and bodies of enemies within a 1 km radius, while creating a spatial fracture leading to the void. The fracture will last for 1 minute. Cooldown: 2 hours.
skill 11: (Heavenly Blade Mirror) Creates 10 light mirrors within a 500-meter radius that reflect attacks with an added holy energy, dealing 100% counter damage. The mirrors last 10 minutes. Cooldown: 2 hours.
skill 12: (Soul Constellation Dance) Draws a soul constellation in the sky that generates holy explosions at each star point, injuring and purifying enemies within a 1 km radius below it. Cooldown: 3 hours.
Lein looked at the last three skill icons on his panel; each skill had undeniable destructive power. Instantly, his imagination filled with images of a radiant holy sword, breaking through enemies with devastating damage, creating flashes of stars around it.
"A soul constellation? Interesting…" he murmured, envisioning a magnificent constellation forming on the battlefield, erasing everything in its path. A small smile appeared on his face—like an explosion of uncontrollable pride.
At the same time, the rumbling sound of a car grew closer. A luxurious car with blue neon lights shining from underneath passed through the teleportation hub gate smoothly, with not a single guard stopping it. The car drove straight towards Lein, who immediately frowned.
"This kid…," he muttered in annoyance. "Why bring a car into the teleportation hub area?" he murmured, closing his status panel.
He already knew who the driver was: Nita and the others.
As soon as the car stopped, Nita jumped out enthusiastically, running towards Lein. "Big brother… where have you been? Huhuu!" she shouted, preparing to hug him. But before she could reach him, Lein gently held her head with one hand.
"Stop… what's wrong with you?" he said, holding Nita back as she continued trying to get closer.
Nita, refusing to give up, used all her leg strength, attempting to move forward a few more inches. "Big brother! Let go!" she protested like a little kid, but Lein just looked at her with a blank expression, ignoring her efforts. Smiling, he glanced over at Laras and the other two girls standing not far away.
"Hello… Laras, Hana, Elen."
The three girls, who had been smiling in amusement at Nita, immediately put on more serious faces. Laras was the first to speak, responding to Lein's greeting politely, "Hello, Master Lein. Congratulations on your promotion," her voice light but with a hint of pride.
"Congratulations, Brother Lein!" Hana said, clapping her hands cheerfully. Meanwhile, Elen, who was usually quiet, tried to gather her courage, finally speaking softly, "Congratulations… Brother Lein."
Lein responded with a warm smile and a nod.
"Oh yeah, what's up? Why did you all come here?" he asked curiously. It was unusual for these four girls to show up together. By that time, he had released Nita.
Nita, still feeling a little upset from failing to hug her big brother, stood there with her arms folded across her chest, striking a pose that clearly showed she didn't want to be disturbed.
Hana giggled at Nita's expression. "Hahaha… actually, we were planning to go to a five-star restaurant, Brother Lein. But then, that cosmic phenomenon appeared a while ago," Hana explained, glancing at Nita, who was still sulking. "We thought it had something to do with your promotion, so we came straight here after Nita managed to track your position."
Lein nodded slightly, understanding the reason for their arrival. "Oh, I see… yes, that was all due to the effects of the promotion to Master level."
