Floating Island - Triple S Talent

Chapter 129: Met with Elder Wan again

While Lein and the others were examining an item on one of the glass display cases, a voice came from the side. The voice belonged to a woman in a blue uniform with a lotus emblem on the right side of her chest. Lein quickly glanced at her status panel.

[Status]

- Name: Mia Ge

- Race: Cui Race

- Power Core: Cultivator

- Rank: Golden Core (Tier-3).

The woman's cultivation level was the same as Lein's, but Lein could sense that her Golden Core cultivation level was still in its early stage. Even so, a person like her wouldn't appear randomly, much less act so politely as she did now.

"Yes, why?" Lein replied casually. He had never met this woman before, and since she seemed polite, he had no issue reciprocating.

"Sorry to intrude. I'm here on behalf of Elder Wan. He would like to invite you upstairs to discuss something," the woman explained respectfully.

Hearing her words, Lein and Nita immediately felt excited. As expected, the mission given by Elder Wan was still ongoing. This meant Lein would gain additional contribution points, securing his first place in the inter-race war event leaderboard.

"Alright, please lead the way."

Lein had no objections, so he nodded and allowed the woman to lead.

"Follow me, sir," she said.

The woman named Mia then walked toward one of the doors in the room's inner area, accompanied by Lein and the others. They ascended a wide staircase leading to the upper floor. Along the way, Lein and the others admired several ancient and beautiful paintings on the pavilion's walls, as well as traditional dolls made of bamboo and wood that exuded a mysterious aura.

"Sis Laras, do you think the scenery in that painting really exists in this world?" Nita asked Laras, pointing to one of the paintings on the wall depicting a stunning five-colored waterfall.

Laras, hearing Nita's question, paused for a moment. She also looked at the beautiful painting that Nita pointed out. The painting was indeed enchanting, with towering trees surrounding the waterfall.

"Most likely it does, Nita. Why? Do you want to live there?" Laras teased with a playful tone.

"Yes, it looks so beautiful and pleasant to live there," Nita replied.

Laras and Nita continued their conversation about the paintings and accessories on the floors they passed by. Lein occasionally chimed in with his own opinions.

Two minutes passed, and Mia, Lein, and the others finally reached the upper floor and approached one of the main doors on that floor. The door was massive, standing at about two meters tall. It appeared to be the room of the pavilion's head.

It didn't take long for them to reach the door. Mia spoke politely, "Reporting to Elder Wan, I have brought Mr. Lein."

"Enter."

A deep voice echoed from inside the room. Just hearing it made Lein, Nita, and Laras's hearts beat faster. Even though they had heard Elder Wan's voice before, it seemed more impressive this time than during their first meeting.

With permission granted, Mia boldly opened the large door and allowed Lein and the others to enter first.

The luxurious room had walls adorned with dragon-patterned wood carvings, complemented by golden silk curtains hanging beautifully on large windows that overlooked the city's view. In the middle of the room, a wooden table with intricate carvings was set between two plush sofas upholstered in dark red fabric. A thick maroon carpet was spread across the floor, creating a warm and grand atmosphere.

On one of the sofas, a man in his seventies sat gracefully. His body was clad in a clean white robe embroidered with silver, showing his status as a respected leader. His face was full of wisdom, with long white hair tied neatly, while his sharp eyes observed every movement of the people before him. This was Elder Wan, one of the main Elders of the Tou Pavilion.

"Hello, young master Lein, we meet again," Elder Wan greeted as he stood, ready to welcome Lein and the others.

Lein was equally respectful. He bowed slightly and returned Elder Wan's greeting. Regardless of the high-level power that Elder Wan possessed, even if the person in front of him had ill intentions, Lein would still be polite for the rewards the mission offered.

"Hello, Elder Wan, sorry I did not keep my promise. I arrived one day later than planned," Lein replied with a polite smile.

Hearing Lein's words and his given reason, Elder Wan was not angry at all. He simply nodded and then shifted his gaze to Laras, whom he had never seen before.

Lein noticed Elder Wan's gaze and quickly explained who Laras was and why she was with them this time.

"Sorry, Elder, but she is one of the core members of my alliance. Her name is Laras," Lein introduced Laras to Elder Wan.

"Hello, Elder Wan, sorry for coming uninvited," Laras greeted, bowing with a warm smile.

Elder Wan smiled at the three of them. He then extended his hand and invited them to sit comfortably on the sofa in front of him.

Lein, Nita, and Laras immediately sat comfortably on the sofa, trying to make themselves at ease for a while. They somehow felt a bit nervous meeting Elder Wan this time. In his heart, Lein still wondered, "Why is this person's cultivation level still a question mark?"

Yes, Lein and the others had checked the status panel information about Elder Wan, but all they saw was a question mark with no further explanation.

- Rank: ???

"Alright, young master Lein. I know you must be eager, so let's get straight to the point. Did you bring the items you promised earlier?"

Seeing that Lein did not take the initiative to ask, Elder Wan directly brought up the main topic of their meeting, which was to hand over the two remaining potions Lein had promised 21 days ago.
