Chapter 92: Laras Returns
The woman stepped gracefully out of the portal, her beautiful white clothes fluttering softly in the wind, adding to the magical and captivating aura surrounding her. Her face showed a calm authority, as if her power should not be underestimated.
Yes, that woman was Laras, a figure idolized by many. After battling for several days, her aura had become calmer and friendlier.
"Welcome, Miss Laras,"
A soldier on guard greeted her nervously. This was the first time he had stood so close to someone of high status in the World Market Trade Alliance. Even before this alliance was formed, Laras already had great power and influence, making her an idol for many people.
Laras nodded lightly in response, then walked toward the main road to wait for the bus.
Soon, a bus stopped in front of her. Inside were several passengers, mostly office workers in formal attire. As Laras boarded, whispers began to spread among them.
"Is that really Miss Laras?" whispered a woman sitting not far from the entrance.
"She is much more beautiful than she looks on the internet," murmured another.
"She takes the bus just like us?" asked another, surprised.
Laras blushed slightly at the passengers' whispers, but she hid it with a thin smile. She stepped into the bus calmly.
"Excuse me..." she said, and the passengers immediately made way. Some even stood up from their seats to offer her a place to sit.
"No need. Please act as if I am not here," Laras said, choosing a seat at the back of the bus.
The passengers continued their discussions in low voices as the bus moved forward.
In her seat, Laras took out her phone and started chatting with her mother.
- (Mom): Dear, have you arrived yet?
- (Laras): Not yet, Mom. I'm still on my way home. By the way, where is El?
- (Mom): El is still at school, hasn't come home yet.
- (Laras): What about Dad?
- (Mom): Your dad is heading to the Indonesian Alliance. He said he wants to start a new business there.
- (Laras): Hmm... Isn't Dad's business already very big? How does he manage it all...
Laras frowned slightly upon hearing her father's plan to start a new business. Even before joining Lein Island, her family was very wealthy and powerful. With the help of Lein Island, their wealth had increased even more.
Not wanting to think further about her father's condition, Laras shifted her gaze to the outside of the window.
Laras took a deep breath, then smiled happily. It had been almost a month since they moved to the divine sky realm.
"So beautiful..." Laras murmured every time the bus passed by a stunning place, like a park, a building with unique designs, or futuristic vehicles. Everything was so unfamiliar to her, as she had spent most of her time fighting in the outer realms.
"By the way, how is Nita? I hope she isn't overwhelmed with her duties," Laras murmured softly while opening her contacts list on her phone, looking for Nita's name.
The phone vibrated, and soon a woman's voice answered with enthusiasm.
"Hello, Sis Laras! Are you back?" Nita asked.
"Shhh... lower your voice, Nit. I'm on the bus," Laras replied, covering her mouth.
"Alright... alright," Nita answered softly, then continued, "Where are you, Sis? I miss you... hummm... hum..." Her voice sounded like a child pretending to cry.
"I'm on my way home. After that, we can meet, okay?"
"No, I'll go straight to your house. Let's meet there," Nita replied firmly.
"Ahh... alright," Laras conceded. Nita was very close to her, perhaps because Nita didn't have an older sister, so she felt Laras was a special figure for her.
Ten minutes later, the bus stopped in a rather busy area. Laras got off, not forgetting to scan her card on the bus payment machine.
After getting off, Laras saw a large area not far from the main road. The area was surrounded by wire fencing, with several heavily armed soldiers guarding it.
This area was known as Wrap Point, a place where small portals connecting various regions on the World Market Trade Alliance Island were located. Using these small portals required energy crystals, so usually only important people used them.
"Welcome, Miss Laras," greeted two guards respectfully.
Laras nodded lightly, then passed through the gate into the Wrap Point area. Inside, there were three small portals, each two meters tall, and a blue hologram board explaining the destinations and the costs required to use the portals.
"Princess Laras... Miss Laras..." whispered the people in the portal area, calling her name with admiration but not daring to approach. Very different from Nita, who liked to be praised and didn't mind being approached by strangers, Laras preferred to keep her distance.
Ignoring the whispers, Laras took out an energy crystal from her storage ring. After inserting it into the crystal box next to the portal, she stepped into the shimmering portal without hesitation.

Hartono Family Compound, City of Light
In the middle of the City of Light, there was a very large compound surrounded by high white walls. Inside, many buildings stood, but the most prominent was a large house that caught everyone's attention.
The building had a modern design and rose more than 50 meters high. Combining contemporary aesthetics with futuristic elements, the facade of this building highlighted grandeur with a dominance of glass and concrete. Floor-to-ceiling glass walls flooded the interior with natural light and offered expansive views of the city.
Sharp lines and corners created an elegant minimalist impression, while the use of high-quality materials exuded an aura of luxury.
Not far from the grand house, there was a small area, 10 meters wide, surrounded by a half-meter-high fence. Inside this area stood a one-meter-tall portal.
