Chapter 95 Amusement Park: Play
Adele pointed to a carriage that was modelled after the 1870s not far away and looked very excited. It piqued others' interest too. Especially Iblis, who had been quiet along this trip.
Seeing their reaction, Samuel asked if Tina if they could ride the carriage and to which she gave an affirmative answer. Samuel thought of something and pulled the girls toward the carriage. They were surprised but followed him nonetheless.
In front of the carriage, Samuel pretended to be an attendant; he gracefully bent over and performed a standard aristocratic etiquette toward the girls.
"Hello, dear Princesses , your ride is here, please get in the carriage." He said respectfully.
Seeing Samuel's antics, Oscar and the other adults couldn't help laughing, and the girls also started pretending. Iblis also gave a rare but short laugh seeing his performance.
After a while, the girls straightened up, showing the appearance of a noble and inviolable princess. Adele and Hannah struggled, but Iblis kept up perfectly.
"Thank you, my dear Butler." She walked toward the entrance.
With the support of Samuel, Iblis boarded the carriage.
" Wow, me too, brother!" Hannah followed suit, trying to imitate what she saw. Adele followed suit, too; she wanted in on the fun too. They were giggling among themselves while sitting inside it.
There was not much space left inside, so Oscar, Karoline, Jenny and Tina wanted to follow them on foot, but Iblis called inside.
"Miss Tina, take a car trip with us princesses." After finishing Iblis, she winked at Tina.
Tina really didn't dare to get in the car. She thought It would be bad if she got in and offended Samuel's play if she got involved in the sport between them.
"Miss Tina, Princess Iblis is calling you; please get in the carriage." Samuel was relieved Iblis was coming out of her gloomy mood and wanted to play, so he let her play. Besides, they needed her to show them around and explain things along the way.
The nervous Tina got into the carriage with Samuel's support and almost couldn't stand still when she got into the carriage.
" I thought it would be cramped but they fit perfectly in there." Samuel thought.
"Butler, you can go and drive." Iblis took the lead and ordered after Tina got on the carriage and sat down.
Samuel nodded respectfully and boarded the front of the carriage. The problem came as he didn't know how to drive the carriage, but thankfully the driver was there.
"Sir, what are you?" Samuel asked the original driver to take a seat at the front; the driver looked helpless but obliged with his request.
Recently, Disney employees have been instructed, and of course, the employees who play the driver are no exception.
"Don't worry, my skills are excellent." The driver said while patting his chest. Samuel didn't really doubt him, but he still assured him.
He drove the carriage skillfully around the square.
Seeing the horse-drawn carriage running smoothly, Oscar and others were relieved. They really went all out with their duties, and being extra careful was also a virtue.
After walking for about 10 minutes, the Driver and Samuel drove the carriage back to where it was. Samuel also activated his knowledge absorption to learn about the carriage; he also observed it carefully, which might come in handy someday.
After stopping, Samuel jumped out of the carriage and opened the door.
"Dear Princesses, your destination is here; please get off the carriage." He asked. He looked at their beaming expression, which proved that it was a success.
While talking, he helped others out of the carriage. He wanted to help Tina again, but how could Tina bother him anymore and jump out of the carriage by herself. Samuel smiled helplessly but ignored it.
" Brother it was so cool." Hannah exclaimed.
" Thank you for a lovely ride, Samuel-sama," asked Princess Kako. It might be an everyday experience for her, but there were no carriages inside the palace.
" You did good. Y-you also l-looked c-cool back there." Adele said while blushing slightly, but Samuel caught her awkwardness.
" Thank you." Iblis only gave a short reply, but Samuel smiled warmly at her. She might feel guilty, but Samuel wanted to reassure her more than anything.
" Well, you are welcome," he asked, the sun was up because of it; some sweat was on his face.
Seeing this, Adele took out the small handkerchief and wiped the sweat from Samuel's forehead. It was pure instinct for her, but she stopped abruptly after realizing what she was doing. She tried to move back, almost making her fall, but Samuel caught her.
" Be careful." He said. It was a cliché, but it caught the attention of everyone. Oscar and Karoline somewhat knew about it, but others were caught off guard by it.
These actions were a common occurrence, but it was always hidden by Adele. Samuel already understood her but honestly, he was reluctant about it. Not to make it awkward, he let her go and changed the subject.
" I am famished, should we have a quick bite."
Others agreed too, we were in the central area, and World Bazaar was the closest to us. Tina and Jenny took us toward a restaurant where people were lining up. Everyone could see that it was not open yet. The sign beside the gate showed the opening time as eleven in the morning, currently, it was barely ten in the morning.
" It must be a popular spot," Karoline asked, looking at people outside the restaurant.
" Somewhat, It is an Italian restaurant modelled on 19th-century European cafes, serving simple dishes like spaghetti. But you will find these types of scenes at other places too." Jenny said but was concerned about the situation.
Tina coordinated a few words with someone on the radio, after which she turned toward the group.
" Come, follow me," Tina said slightly, pursing up her lips. She definitely had an advantage over Jenny regarding matters like these. It was not a competition, but a little gloating never hurt anyone.
She led the group through the back door, where people were already waiting for them. They guided the group toward a big table. Seeing closely, one would observe that two smaller ones were combined to form it. They took their seat as a middle-aged man, and two servers came to greet the group.
The man looked to be the head chef, which could easily be noticed by looking at his big hat. The serving girls wore maid dresses with long skirts to fit the overall atmosphere of an old 19th-century restaurant.
" Welcome, I, Marco, will be serving you today. It is a pleasure to have you today your excellency." He made his way toward Samuel and gave him a slight bow. You could feel a thick accent in his voice.
Samuel nodded, and one of the girls made her way toward the table to give the menu.
They scanned through it and selected the items.
Children set for Hannah and Adele. The ingredients were listed separately.
A Mickey plate which contains corn chowder, meat sauce spaghetti, sausage, potato, cauliflower, broccoli and carrot. Fruit jelly for the sweet and Apple juice for the drinks.
Samuel went with Spaghetti Genovese, an Italian pasta which combines pasta and pesto with potatoes and green beans.
" In our recipe for Spaghetti Genovese we give pesto a nutritional boost by adding spinach and toss it all together with fiber-rich whole-wheat pasta for a warm, comforting weeknight meal. Serve with escarole and radicchio salad." said the girl.
Iblis also went with pasta, spaghetti with vegetables and tomato sauce.
" Vegetable spaghetti is the perfect way to use seasonal veggies. We use whatever we have on hand to create perfect balance. It is light perfect for breakfast." She explained.
Others also ordered their dishes.
Spaghetti carbonara, which came with four varieties of cheese. The ingredients were simply spaghetti and the carbonara made with pancetta or bacon, eggs, Parmesan, a little olive oil, salt and pepper.
And, Spaghetti Bolognese. It came with Bolognese Sauce which was rich, thick and had a beautiful depth of flavour.
" It's perfect for a quick midweek meal but it is even better as we have already simmer it for a couple of hours." She explained.
She took our order and soon served us warm dishes. We also ordered some drinks to go along with it. Hannah enjoyed her meal, but Adele looked embarrassed eating the same meal as Hannah. Although they were still kids, Adele was much older than her. She was curious about the child menu previously but realized her fatal mistake much later.
They also planned the day as the park had several sections, seven to be precise. It was impossible to enjoy every single one of them on a single day.
