Chapter 88
As Su Qiuge walked, she thought about the recent notice from the school. Starting next semester, the second years will have to attend self-study every night, and when that time comes, only the first years will be able to go home.
When she thought about this, she started worrying about the next exam again.
Once she finally came back to her senses, a scream suddenly came from the crowd in front of her.
Su Qiuge was taken aback and when she raised her eyes to look over, she just so happened to see—by accident—a little girl fall to the ground with her scooter.
The little girl’s face was dirty and even after falling, she acted as if nothing had happened. Then, she slowly apologized to the person she had ran into.
Su Qiuge followed the girl’s gaze, and only then did she realize that the person the little girl ran into was Lin Luoyu. She was the one who had screamed just now after being hit in the waist.
These days, Su Qiuge often saw her outside of Class 1. Her appearance was incredibly frequent recently, as if she was deliberately waiting for someone outside their class.
Lin Luoyu’s friend was a little angry, “Why are there little kids outside of our school? There are so many people, yet they’re still playing with such dangerous things.”
But it appeared as if Lin Luoyu hadn’t taken it to heart as she helped the little girl up with a warm smile. She said to her friend, “It’s okay, it’s normal for children to be a little mischievous.”
Lin Luoyu’s friend sighed, “Luoyu, it’s your temper that’s too good.”
After the two people left, the little girl lifted the scooter up in an exasperatingly slow manner, and her movements appeared somewhat strenuous. When she was halfway through on lifting it, she suddenly felt that it had gotten a lot lighter. She raised her eyes and saw that someone had helped her.
She froze for a moment, then quietly said, “Thank you.”
Su Qiuge helped her to lift up the scooter before she squatted down. Her gaze fell on the little girl’s knee that had just been injured by the fall.
When she stood up earlier, she had wiped away the dirt on it herself, but the wound was still red.
She recalled how she also used to be like this. When she was bullied, her knees would be injured, there was even a small scar left over from it.
When she was young, she was ignorant. After all, it wasn’t considered beautiful for girls to have scars on their bodies.
It just so happened that in order to prevent her wound from coming into contact with water, she had put on a band-aid. Now, she happened to have some extras in her pocket.
She took out a band-aid and very carefully stuck it to the little girl’s knee.
Then she shoved another one into her hand.
She said softly, “When you go back, make sure to clean the wound and then use this new one.”
The little girl anxiously watched Su Qiuge’s movements, then after a long time, she asked in a milky voice, “What’s on this sticker?”
Su Qiuge was stunned for a moment before she looked down at the band-aid. Then she softly explained, “This is Hello Kitty.”
The little girl blinked, then she pointed to the back of Su Qiuge’s hand and asked, “Is it the same as the one on you hand?”
Su Qiuge curved her lips, “Yes, I also wasn’t careful and got injured.”
The little girl stared at the band-aid for a while, before she suddenly changed the subject, “Do you know the person I bumped into just now?”
Su Qiuge knew that she was referring to Lin Luoyu.
She shook her head, “Don’t know.”
The girl pursed her lips and said, “She obviously doesn’t like me, so why did she help me up?”
