Chapter 274: Threats and Mission
[ Threat Levels ]
[ Minimal: Threats that pose minimal risk and are easily manageable. In this level, zombies are sparse and easily dispatched, posing little threat to survivors. ]
[ Guarded: Threats that require caution and preparation to handle effectively. At this level, zombies are concentrated in specific areas, requiring caution but manageable with proper tactics. ]
[ Moderate: Threats that present a reasonable level of danger and may require some effort to overcome. A significant number of zombies are present, increasing the risk to survivors and necessitating strategic planning.]
[ Elevated: Threats that are more serious and demand heightened awareness and readiness. The Zombie Tiers are higher or possibly with larger hordes and increased aggression, demanding keen vigilance.]
[ High: Threats that are significant and potentially twice more dangerous than the previous threat level, requiring immediate attention and decisive action. ]
[ Severe: Threats that are critical and pose a severe risk, necessitating urgent and comprehensive responses. Threats at this level require several Clans to work together, as it could destroy a whole region. ]
[ Extreme: Threats that are of the highest severity, with imminent and catastrophic consequences if not addressed promptly and effectively. This level of threat is something that has to be taken care of by all available Clans, as it could destroy the whole continent. ]
"Well… I guess it made sense now…" Tessa muttered after reading about severe and extreme threats.
"Listen up," Raze\'s voice cut through their conversation.

"We\'re working together on this first mission. Crypt Crawlers have infested the abandoned Salt Mine nearby. We\'ll clear them out and take this mine…"
Jaxon nodded. "The Salt Mine is really a good find. I wonder why Shane failed to locate it before."
Lyra adjusted her crossbow and nodded. "It must be from the new patch. Who knows? Anyway, Crypt Crawlers are nasty creatures. Venomous too. Even if you don\'t turn into a zombie, you\'ll die from their venom."
Kael nodded. "We\'ll need extra potions. Their bites can turn you while their claws can poison you..."
Raze nodded at the group.
Jaxon then studied the map that they currently have. It wasn\'t the map of the abandoned mine but based on the terrain, he could tell that this would be a small mine unlike the Iron Mine that they now owned.
"As long as we\'re prepared, we should be just fine."
Soon, the group left the Springriver Manor after they informed Mr. Wadsworth.
It didn\'t take them that long to find the entrance to the abandoned Salt Mine. It was a huge crack in between a large boulder. It was as if the crack appeared there as soon as the mission came out. All of them could remember that there shouldn\'t have been a crack or entrance there before.
"Alright… Come out now." Raze said as she looked at the tattoo mark on her right hand.
Soon, the dragon tattoo lit up, and in an instant, a young dragon formed in front of her as the tattoo mark vanished.
Growl~
Roan, Raze\'s young dragon, stretched his wings as if feeling relieved that he was finally out.
His scales shimmered like molten gold, and his eyes seemed more intelligent... Roan had really grown a lot after being able to obtain the Drakonar Signet Ring and Wyrmheart Locket Necklace.
"Roan… Can you lead us inside? I\'ll boost you with the ring and necklace, so you don\'t have to worry."
The young dragon then nodded as it soon led the way.
Unlike Shane with A.I. Cloud, this group could only rely on their own perception, so it was better to allow Roan, who had the highest perception among them, to scout the surroundings first.
The team followed Roan into the mine entrance as Raze and Kael took out their torch while the others took their Light Orbs out... The reason for using the torch was actually simple: to generate heat. It was a bit too cold in this mine, after all.
As they entered, the air grew colder as they descended into the earth.
The mine\'s walls dripped with moisture, and the sound of dripping water echoed through the tunnels. It certainly sounded eerie as they couldn\'t even hear the groans or moans of the zombies yet.
Nonetheless, they didn\'t have to wait for too long.
After a few more minutes of walking, the Crypt Crawlers Zombies emerged from the darkness—hunched, insect-like creatures with incredibly hard skin, almost like shells...
Their eyes glowed malevolently, and their mandibles clicked in hunger.
"Don\'t use Fire Breath, Roan… That might toast us…" Raze immediately said after seeing that Roan was about to breathe fire.
Swoosh~
As she said this, Lyra\'s crossbow bolts flew, each one hitting the heads of the Crypt Crawlers.
[ You have eliminated a Crypt Crawler Zombie. ]
The power of the crossbow could not be questioned at all as it managed to pierce through the zombies\' skulls.
Kael would then cast a weak healing blessing to hurt the Zombies, and this would give an opportunity for others to attack.
Tessa, the night assassin, moved silently, her daggers slicing through the Crypt Crawlers\' exoskeletons.
[ You have eliminated a Crypt Crawler Zombie. ]
"Whew~ An Epic Grade Dagger is the best…" Tessa couldn\'t help but feel excited after her successful kill.
As they continued, Jaxon\'s foresight warned of ambushes. With his assistance, they deflected several surprise attacks…
Soon, they reached a cavern that was probably the end of the mine where a group of Crypt Crawler Zombies could be seen.
Once again, a battle erupted.
Raze, with her sword, also engaged in close combat while holding her torch in her left hand.
Her Dragon Knight Talent was triggered as she fought like a true knight…
She aimed at the silent Crypt Crawler at the very back of the group!
Needless to say, it was the Crypt Crawler Leader…
"Roan, help the others… I\'ll take care of this Leader Zombie!"
