Reincarnated in the game world ~ A gamer's beginning to [Dungeon job hunting recommendation]

Vol. 10 - Chapter 501 - Let’s raise the status! The brilliance of Brave’s intellect!

“Wha-wha?!”

A cute squeal escaped out of Lana and Hannah’s lips at the sudden happening.

It was the effect taking place. Though I just realized my movements had became slightly stiff when I tried to look behind while the effect was being played out. It was a novel feeling. I tried taking my signature pose, and… fuhaha!

The band of light wrapped itself around with unhurried speed. Each time that band touched my body, I felt as if something inside me was slightly altered/re-written. It was a strange feeling.

However…it wasn’t anything harmful. An indescribable feeling inside me told so. Simply, the <Brave> job inside me was like it was going through nirvana, getting strengthened along the way and transforming into <Gloria Salvator>.

Hmm, I wonder if that’s how you feel when transforming. Some good-for-nothing thoughts passed through my mind.

And a few seconds later, the effect gradually died down.

It was quite a mental struggle, but I walked up with <Gloria Salvator>. But choosing it means tackling the obligation it comes with……

But recalling back, it didn’t sound bad to check that ending—<Grand Finale>. It had the title of being ‘one of the hardest to achieve ending.’ amidst 400 others that the game boasted. It had also been one of the factors which made it a fan favorite as well.

——A player should definitely make it through the <Grand Finale> at least once when playing <Dungeon Activity>.

It was the general consensus among the <Dungeon Activity> obsessed playerbase.

The ending was thrilling to the max, likewise impactful, and hailed as something that would leave its print onto your memory eternally.

If I had been given the choice to play one ending only one time for the lifetime among the 400 endings game had, you could bet <Grand Finale> would in one of the few I could count in one hand. —But, it was just as brutal to clear that ending, and failure would push the scenario into an never-ending downward spiral. So, in this case, it was also among one of the few exceptionally hard ending I could count in my hand.

However, it wasn’t as if there was no way but to hop into it either.

But thinking about it from a real world perspective, I was perhaps reading too much into it due to the game. Just because I acquired <Gloria Salvator> didn’t mean the trigger would translate into reality well. I shouldn’t be like that red button who shouldn’t be touched but still ended up happening… I will not……right? I guess, yeah.

Anyway, there’s no point thinking about it now. The event occur when coming closer to Ending, and the timeline for that is in the later half of third year. I would be wasting my energy by overthinking about it. And speaking of, there was something of more gravitas that needed my attention.

“And that’s all. I am now one of you!!”

“Hurray! Congrats, Zephyr!”

“Congratulations, Zephyr-kun!”

“Thanks, Lana, Hannah.”

I had just turned back when Lana and Hannah blitz toward me. Ohh, they sure were brimming with excitement. I raised both of my hands for high-five and… Clap!

“Congratulations, Zephyr-dono.”

“Great work, Zephyr. Now we’re one step closer to our goal.”

“Hnn. Grats, Zpephyr.”

“Congratulations, Zephyr-sama.”

“Oh, thank you all. Ester, Sierra, Karua, Celestine too.”

I also high-five with the composed group!

Ester had a warm smile on her face, while Sierra just flashed an ‘oh you silly’ kind of expression.

Karua had barely get herself out of sleepiness, so I had extra high-five, high-five and high-five. Oh, and the bonus high-five!

Alright, this event demand a proper party. It’s doubly important to throw party at such occasions!

I mean, imagine, six of the guild members had acquired advanced job! Meanwhile, I also had gotten the strongest of the world type job! How could there be no party for such grand occasion?!

But this is just the starting, we’re going to secure more and more <Advance Job Ascension Ticket>!

It’d be time for Nico to shine, having her through the Int-low dungeons. It would be a blazing journey!

Ahem, yes that was important but let’s not forget the sight of current objective.

“Our business here is finished, so let’s move back to the guild. Its time to tweak the status of advanced jobs.”

Yes, we’re to start with building our bases first.

After returning the key to Phyllis-sensei in the staff room, and thanking her, we head back to our guild.

“Alright guys, it’s finally the time to unlock our new statuses!”

“Yayyy, clap-clap!

“Great spirit, Hannah.”

Hannah alone cheerfully squealed as I announced our first agenda. I am so glad to have you, Hannah. Then, following after her, rest of the members also started clapping. I am also glad to have you guys!

“It has been, like, two months around since the last time we had tweaked our status, huh?”

“Yes, it’s been that lond, Sierra-dono. We had hit the level cap before the end-term exam, so its around the same duration.”

“It’s been so long I can’t wait! I wonder what kind of magic I am going to have.”

“Hn, sounds fun.”

So everyone were just as excited huh. Of course so, it’s fun to play with your status and unlock new stuff. There were just so many paths that thinking about them alone fill you with delight.

“Then, I shall first began with explanation about advanced job, though some might have alread been aware of them.”

As I raised my index finger in a pose, standing at the usual platform, everyone’s focus settled on me.

“I will begin with the most important of all. While job transfer and job advancement may sounds similar, the <Job Transfer> into basic job works on direct opposite system than turning to advanced job. —The main reason is inheritance factor. When transferring from one basic job to another, the attribute parameters gets reset.”

It was one of the obvious thing. Otherwise, it would be easy to reach an unfathomable height each time you transfer the job. Well, people in reality might desire it, but this mechanism would totally shatter the game balance.

“But when you change your job from the basic one to the advanced, the SUP and SP you have gained during basic jobs would be refunded entirely. In this case, you will carry the skills, magic, points, and also the status as well.” (T/N - Just in case; SUP - Status upgrade Point & SP - Skill Points)

However the carry-over of status was a mechanic specific only when moving from bottom to bottom. Hence why everywhere it would be recommended to reach the level cap in your job before advancing to reap the maximum benefit.

Well, this much was more or less common knowledge, so everyone nodded in acknowledgment. Karua also batted her eyelids firmly, actually too firmly. Right, she should have felt dryness in eyes, that’s all. So she should be alright… hopefully.

“You’re going to build your status pretty much like before; like creating a plan, calculating the spending of SP to their last bit, and raising the parameters. The only different aspect here would be the level limit of advanced jobs, and the skill tree order.”

In the basic job, the upper limit of level was 75, with skill trees unlocking at LV0, LV20 and LV40 respectively. The said limits increased here.

“The max level you can hit in advanced jobs is 100. The skill trees unlocked at LV0, LV30 and LV60. You will acquire 1 SP with every level up, there is no change here. But the strategic point here was the sixth skill tree unlocked at LV60, or called ‘S-tree’ in short. There’s only around 40 levels ahead, so squandering too much SP on other would leave less for the best of best ‘S-tree.’”

It needed to be said after all, since the fourth skill tree unlocks at LV0, fifth at LV30, and sixth at LV60. It might sound exciting to unlock new stuff, but an unplanned upgrade would leave you in tears. And now that I recall all that stuff, I was also getting excited thinking about that. I mean, S-Tree was the climax of any job, the strongest skills or magic would be unlocked from here. My hands were already itching to go bam-bam!

Then, Sierra quietly raised her hand.

“Yes, what is it, Sierra?”

“You make it sound like obvious, but I have never heard about sixth order skill. Also, that LV100 limit is something I have only heard in fables and myths,”

Ah, yes. Yes, that question. There was a reason. The world at present had yet to step into anything above adv-low dungeons. And it was virtually impossible to hit LV60 with just adv-low dungeon.

As for LV100 limited only to myth or fables… yeah, that was a lost cause for now.

“Well, I can’t prove it right away, but I am sure it will come to light not long after, in fact too much to the point it will become commonplace.”

As I announced it confidently, Hannah stood up to her feet.

“I believe in you, Zephyr-kun!”

Oh, what a sweet thing to say, Hannah. I so much want to pat her head.

Lana also continued, following after her.

“Likewise, this princess shall give you this chance.”

“---Lana-sama.”

C-Cough, I mean. I believe in you…Zephyr.”

Lana tried to play her usual princess-ly line, though immediately folded as soon as Ester shot a glance at her.

This wasn’t the first time. She had been recently hammered down when she stuck out like now. I feel like she had been receiving more lectures now than usual.

“Hn, I will leave it to you, Zephyr.”

“You know, I think it would be for the best if you seriously start to give more thoughts to your details, Karua. That said, I have also yet to learn much more from you, Zephyr. So likewise, please continue to teach me.”

Karua’s attitude was to throw all the heavy tasks at me. But, fine with me. I will make sure to teach them thoroughly!

Sierra heaved a sigh, and showed her acknowledgment.

“Of course. Now let’s try it out! First, we will start with SP!”
